TRANSFORMERS …

July 9, 2009 - One Response

...robots in disguise!

LOL I finally watched it! The 3 weeks of waiting to watch it was worth it though. I think God meant for us (Thao and I) to watch it with our youth group. It was fun being all together, sitting in silence LOL. I felt like a little pansy while watching it due to the fact I cried THREE times. (1) When Optimus “died” (2) When the red twin was going to get sucked in (3) When Sam almost died. All in all it was pretty awesome. Though I wish there were nicer cars in it…

The past few days have been lazy days for me. I spend most of my time watching the Avatar: The last airbender. I feel like the biggest dork in the world, but it’s just so good. I had a dream I could waterbend… LMAO!

I do go out once in awhile, just to be healthy – a little sun wouldn’t hurt. I went out for some bubble tea with Thi, Benson and Matt yesterday. It was pretty fun since I haven’t seen Benson in the longest time. And Matt comes over almost everyday for our daily girl talk sessions LOL.

Anyways, hope everyone is doing well and having a good summer so far!

This past weekend our good friends Linda and Huy tied the knot! It was a pretty big wedding, people came from all over to just celebrate their love. Our friends from the Toronto youth group also came up and stayed with Thao and I. It was nice to spend time with them outside of the church camp atmosphere.

Friday night, we took them clubbing at Mansion. It was actually so much fun. Partying with church people is so much fun. Saturday was the wedding – we spent a lot of time at the casino after the ceremony, during the reception and after the reception. On Sunday we all went to eat at 1000 Island sushi and stopped by Britannia beach.

I miss them all so much already!  I even miss the two stinkers who I took in (James and Michael) LOL

Vex, Xbox and Pool

Now that my time here in Ottawa is limited, I’m starting to feel the pressure to do all the things I want to do before I leave for London. In case some of you don’t know yet, I’m moving to London in about 3-4 weeks. I haven’t told many people – I didn’t feel like announcing it to the world yet. Anyways, I just feel that everyday must be well spent.

I felt this weekend was pretty good. I got to spend time with some of my friends whom I haven’t seen in awhile. Saturday, after shopping with my Mom and sisters, I went to hangout with Thao and Julie. We grabbed a late lunch at Tim Hortons before heading over to Ham’s. We got to meet Sam’s brother, Tim, who has already gotten so comfortable that he’s teasing me already SIGH. We went to the small fair near their apartment. We only went on ONE ride, and that was  enough. Unfortunately for Thao and I, our thing kept flipping because we were so light. It was pure screaming for what felt like 5 minutes LOL. I bought alcohol haha. I walked into the LCBO and walked out with a case of coolers. I didn’t like it though, so Julie basically drank what I couldn’t finished. Went to Addiction with Julie, Raymond and Lianna at night. The music wasn’t so great, but I got to dance at least. And of course, I had to take care of the little one haha.

Sunday I spent most of my day with Ham again. We played on the Xbox – too much fun. Raymond came to pick me up after and we went to play pool with Jimmy. It was so much fun catching up. It was funny because I would always win by default. Either the guys would knock eachother out first, and I’d be the last person. Or they were distracted and I took advantage of it to even the playing field. I actually won one game all on my own! One of these days I’ll be a pool master teehee!

Things to do before I leave?

  • Drive thru movies
  • Clubbing – to celebrate the end of my social life
  • Drink enough bubble tea to last me a year
  • Spend at least one day with each of my friends
  • Go to the beach – I’ll give into tanning
  • One road trip
  • Take the boys to the strip club LMAO
  • And…we’ll see what else

It’s true…

Distance does make the heart grow fonder! I know this is totally random, but I’m missing Kim and Brenda! It’s almost been a year since the short term mission and thinking back, it makes me miss them so much!

Remember when …

  • We thought Brenda was like 19 when she first came
  • They both tried to tease my hair – I’m sorry I don’t have short layers!!!
  • Their hilarious dance in which we learned the fishing pole move
  • “CAN YOU FEEL THE HEAT”
  • Brenda painted her toes and nails every other day
  • Kim somehow managing to get her ring stuck on her  finger

And that’s  all I can rememer at the moment (it’s 5 AM in the morning).

MISS YOU BOTH :’(

R&R? I don’t think so…

If you read my previous post, you will know that I’m still currently recovering from my adventurous weekend. I woke up around 1 PM today, barely had time to eat and even freshen up when Lianna messaged me asking me to come into work with her. I said I was too tired, but you can never say no to Lianna…

So, she came to pick me up at 2 and we went to her family’s spa. They changed it completely! The paint is different, everything is set up differently, and got in new furniture. There weren’t many clients today, so basically Lianna played around with me. First, she waxed my eye brows – it was so funny because the paper kept sticking to my head LOL. I never had such a funny waxing experience. My brows turned out really nice though – LIANNA IS SO PRO! Afterwards, she washed my hair – cause I didn’t shower yet LOL and then we spent 2 hours doing my nails (mostly cause we would take breaks haha).

After closing up the spa, we headed to her house to eat and pick up stuff. We went to Midway and met up with Matt, Leng, and Jervin. It was pretty fun. I haven’t gone to Midway since Grade 10!!! Such a throwback!!! We didn’t know how to play the games, so we made Matt and Jervin play games for us so we could get enough tickets to buy candy LOL. I even tried playing Initial D – so FML, I suck at it.

We went to East Sides afterwards for some guy from My Sweet Tea’s birthday. It was so weird because the staff from My Sweet Tea and the staff from Bubblicity were all together. And then there was us. AND I finally got to see my dear sole sis!!! What a coincidence!!! Anyways, I need sleep so I will leave it here.

1 tequila, 2 tequila…8 tequila FLOOR!

I have finally awaken from my million hour sleep! This weekend has been one of the most tiring weekends I’ve had yet! I can’t believe we managed to do so much all the span of 3 days. So here is how it all started…

Friday, we planned to go to Addiction as a pre-party for Thi. I met their friend Adam, who I think is hilarious. He’s definitely what Thi calls “flamboyant”. At first it seemed like it wasn’t going to be a good night since the crowd at Addiction wasn’t so great. It was actually so empty for 11 PM, usually theres a huge lineup and everything. We ran into the Liquor Store guy again! We recognized him by his crazy dance moves LOL. After awhile people noticed us dancing, they all decided to join and that’s how the party started (UP IN HERE LOL)! I find that Addiction never lets me down and my heart will always belong to Hull. Thao and I partied without drinking too! Actually, I had one shot but the rest of the night I had like a million waters.

I slept over at Thao’s place since my Dad took my house key, sooo FML. I have nothing against sleeping at Thao’s, but sometimes after a night of clubbing you just want to go home. It was still fun sleeping over. We got to have girl talk, and the girls had their  fun on my MSN and Facebook…

I came home at 11 AM on Saturday, and went out again! Only this time with my Mom and sisters. We went to eat dim sum at Lichee View Restaurant. It was terrible! The service was slow, the food wasn’t so great, and it took forever to get stuff. We had to ORDER what we wanted. I don’t see the point of having the cart. After our horrible lunch, we devoted 4 hours to shopping. I got three dresses and heels, teehee! I got home around 5 PM wanting to sleep, but I couldn’t. I had to shower and prepare for Thi’s actual birthday party. SIGH, I feel so old now haha.

Thao came over and we got ready together, which is always fun. I tried to do her makeup for her, but she didn’t like it cause she’s not used to dark eye shadow – party pooper! Omar picked us up and dropped us off in the parking lot near Parliament. We found a place to sit down, because I didn’t want to look like a slooot standing around LOL. We thought everyone was coming around 10-11. Two hours later….we’re still there. Thi’s party moved to Suite 34 and we were still stuck in the lot. I managed to get Thao and I into Parliament for free and no ID afterwards though. It was pretty in there! Red carpet too! Though, we felt bad for not being with Thi… so we managed to get our way into Suite 34 using our other connection – Thi’s cousin! I didn’t like Suite 34 as much, though I got to dance at least. But the guys were too touchy, Thi was too wild, and it was too hot so we left haha.

We planned then to go meet up with Matt, Ritchie, Jervin and David at Karaoke. On our way though, we ran into Lianna and ended up in HULL (like always). They took us to the Pinks! So now, I’ve been to TWO strip clubs haha. It was so awkward though…but after 11 shots, we were able to get over the nakedness haha. We were also drunk out of our minds!!!! Thao and I are the funniest drunks together, APPARENTLY. All I remember is giggling a lot, going to eat pho, and driving a lot.

The driving around and the amount of alcohol in my body didn’t get along so well though. For the first time ever, I actually THREW UP! It started at McDonalds, somewhere off of St. Laurent, somewhere on the highway, somewhere on the way to my house, and on my porch LOL. It was the biggest FML moment. I even cried, and my Mom saw. She was like “Why do you go out if you’re going to come home crying? Don’t go out too much!” Haha. I’m surprised she didn’t yell at us though. Parents surprise you sometimes…

Thao slept over, but we didn’t have girl talk or anything. We pretty much PASSED OUT. She got picked up and didn’t go to church, that bum! I wanted to stay home too, except I didn’t want to make my Mom mad since I came home at 5AM. I was sooooo tired. When I came home, I passed out! I thought I was going to sleep all night, except the girls called me out AGAIN to go eat Perkins. It was fun though, we got to have girl talk and bash boys teehee. After a stop to My Sweet Tea, we all went home and I finally got to sleep LOL, YES!

I think I’m going to lie low for a bit. I need to recover still. All in all, it was one  of the best weekends of my life. 4 clubs, alcohol, dancing, best friends, and strippers LMAO. What more can you ask for!

Us with the birthday girl!

Randomness

June 18, 2009 - One Response

Tonight must have been one of the most random hangouts I’ve had in awhile. We managed to do so much in the span of 4 hours. Thao came to pick me up at 11, picked up Lianna and we headed to Perkins for some midnight Breakfast. It was so yummy! I love Perkins, sigh! Breakfast always tastes good not at breakfast time haha.

Afterwards, we went to grab some bubble tea – just in time before closing! Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to sit down so we decided to go for a walk. But we got scared of walking around China Town that late, so we basically walked up the street and walked back LOL.

The most random part of the night would have to be our trip to Hull. We drove past Addiction to see if people were there. It basically looked like what it usually does around 10:30 on a Friday – BORING. So… we went to the CASINO! We played the horse game, I won 50 cents LMAO! I know it’s nothing, but it feels so good haha!

Anyways, off to bed!!!!

P.S. Listen to Goodbye by Kristina Debarge. It’s such an empowering breakup song! Not that I’ve broke up with anyone lately LOL

WORN OUT

June 17, 2009 - Leave a Response

I’m so tired and I don’t even know why. I hardly did anything today besides sit and drink bubble tea. How FML is that. I think the last few days have really worn me out though. And its starting to catch up to me.

It’s only Wednesday and I feel like I’ve done so much. Monday I stayed home like a good girl. Tuesday I went to watch The Hangover with Jervin and Matt – it’s funny but a horrible movie. Then we went to a carival where we rode the worst ride ever. The three of us jammed into one seat. It was so uncomfortable already and then the spinning and going up and down didn’t help at all. Ten seconds in and the guys were already pleading for the guy to stop the ride. I hated it because the guys kept pretending to puke on me. Although we were still moving supe fast, I managed to slap them both, teehee. Afterwards we went to eat at Summerhayes and a quick round of bowling.

Today I went to watch the guys break dance. It was pretty cool. I have a new found repsect for Matt LMAO. We went to get bubble tea afterwards at Sweet Tea. They just installed a TV in there and we spent an hour watching Fail Blog – such a guy thing to do. At least I had my strawberry bubble tea <3

Back from London

June 15, 2009 - 2 Responses

I’m baaaaack!
I was really only gone for one day but I know that I was terribly missed by everyone. It’s okay, I’m back again! Teehee. Anyways, I have never been in a car for so long!!! I think I was in the car more than I was in London!

The drive there was pretty long, longer than I expected. Though I think we could’ve made it there earlier if we sped up a bit. Seriously, I don’t think we were even going speed limit -.-  It was pretty exciting though!  Just as we passed Bayshore, we saw a deer! And two hours in and we bumped into four random horses on the road! It was so cool! It took forever to just drive around them though since we didn’t wanna kill them. You just never know what you’re going to see on a road trip!

London was alright. It was fun hanging out with my cousins again. My little cousin Melody was sooo cute! She would come up to me and kiss me every chance she got. AH, I miss her! We also got to drive around the Western University campus! It was so nice, though my pictures didn’t do it justice. Other than that, there’s like NOTHING to do in London. It’s so boring sigh!

I’m so happy to be back! I never thought I’d miss Ottawa haha. Anyways, I know Bee you don’t have Facebook so I’ll post a link for you to view my pics!
